ABOUT ME

American born and raised, and after a brief stint in Brisbane, Australia, I've been living in France since 2009. Originally in La Rochelle, I have been a resident of Tours since March 2011 where I enjoy la belle vie tourangelle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a variety of people since I began CouchSurfing and I participate somewhat regularly in different CS events in and around Tours. I've hosted and been hosted multiple times and every experience has left me a better person because of it.

Always positive experiences and very altruistic. The general spirit of CS travelers is outstanding.

Music, Movies, and Books

More into biographies and history now but some good fiction can be a great escape from time to time. I worked in a bookstore for 3 years so I've read a lot of different varieties of books. Love any new recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to France in 2009, I'd say, is a pretty big accomplishment for me. I also ran in the French Alps a week before my 30th birthday, I've sung karaoke with an Estonian pop star, I've lost 32kg and run my first marathon and I've managed to make what I consider to be life-long friends everywhere I've lived.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a teacher (English and French) and I love to cook. Always up for new and shared experiences. I'm also fascinated by languages. I love finding out how things work and understanding people. I run as well, and play rugby.
