ABOUT ME
Who am I?
I am a person who is very difficult to explain, usually I leave others to wonder about this, hopefully It'll take some time. I like to be as kind as I can to anyone I meet and traveling has encouraged me to be more open and less shy when meeting new people. I hope that couch surfing will continue the pleasure I endured during my travels with meeting new and interesting people and generally just having a great time.
I'm Learnding
I am currently a failed Engineer turned web developer, I build bespoke websites and do lots of geeky programming stuff.
Music is my Life
My life is surrounded by music and I love all of it, well not all, I f***ing hate R&B. Apart from that I LOVE ALL MUSIC. I'll quite happily go to a classical concert with a friend (Emz :) ), rave it up to some hardcore Psytrance action, chillax to some oldschool blues, mosh out and release my anger at a death metal gig or just night fever my heart away to some cheese. For some bands that are particularly special to me see below!!!
Japanese Katana bloodbath action, i.e. FILMS
I'm also a film fanatic and love watching world cinema, while I do enjoy indulging myself in a hollywood blockbuster every so often its the lesser known, indie or world cinema that truly excites me and I sure love a Japanese bloodbath every so often!!
Traveling and Socialamising
Traveling has also been a big part of my life mainly due to my awesome parents who I have been very lucky to be born to. They have taken me to places some people only dream could go to, such as Barbados, Egypt, Indonesia and America and for this I am thankful. While I have been to so many great places there is also so much to see on my own. I wish to visit Australasia, Scandinavia and many other places hopefully surfing a big wave all they way!!
Sport makes my body cry
I would say I'm not too much of a sporty person but do enjoy playing non contact sports such as Badminton, Squash and that good old English game Cricket. I am also a big fan of SCUBA diving and try to go as much as I can because I just bloody love it. The fact that I detest salt water so completely should emphasise how much I love this sport. Any CS's out there who need a dive buddy just say the word! I also enjoy bike riding and currently have a lovely frame which I want to build up for downhilling. Over all these sports though Skiing is my favourite and I also plan to fail less at snowboarding next time by not breaking my hand on the second day...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and surf as much as I can!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been couchsurfing for a long time now and find it is the most rewarding way to go on holiday, not only do you make new friends, save money but you get a true grasp of the culture and inside knowledge of the area you are visiting.
I have also hosted many guests in Somerset and have loved everyone of them!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
Rage Against the Machine, Bloc Party, Tool, Bonobo, Incubus, Daft Punk, Justice, Shpongle, Aphrodite, Green Day, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Arcade Fire, Bob Marley, Radiohead, Mogwai, Damian Rice, Capdown, Metalica, Mr Scruff, Killswitch Engage, Sublime, Chemical Brothers, Cream, Fleetwood Mac, The Living End, Masserati, The Offspring, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Pelican, High on Fire, Cake, KT Tunstall, Orange Goblin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, System of a Down.
Lots more but its difficult to think on the spot!!
Books
I am a huge Terry Pratchett fan and always have a discworld novel at my side. Generally I love Sci-fi and fantasy but also like to dabble into other genres. One of my favourite authors is Haruki Murakami, a Japanese writer.
On the Sci Fi side of things I am currently making my way through the Peter F. Hamilton epic Nights Dawn Triligy, absolutely sublime Sci Fi and I recommend it very highly (if you can make it through the 3 books at 1200 pages each!). Hamilton has a very realistic view of space, so no gravity, pilots are geneered to take the strain of combat accelaration (no grav plates and inertial dampers I'm afraid Star Trek fans). He also hits on a lot of religous issues, a subject I think is very much missing in modern Sci Fi.
