Hi, I'm Marc, 60 years old, married with Annie since 1981. Since I have retired and our children have left home, it was my dream to visit Flanders by bike. I'm not an experienced traveller, certainly not with bike, and I never had any experience with couchsurfing.
What I do in my retired life? Next to watching my grand children grow, I write, make websites for small organizations. I walk and bike, mostly in my area, Pajottenland.
I travelled a lot when I still was working, but it was mostly the same: airport, hotel, meeting room. I had sometimes the opportunity for visiting (Barcelona, Madrid, Montréal, Tel Aviv, Dublin, Krakow, Prague, Budapest, ...), but I am fed of taking planes and stay at hotels, especially the expensive ones (which I can't afford anymore...). For me travel is now: go out of my confort zone, meet people.
