I've worked in higher education for a long time. I am from LA, but have lived abroad the last 10 years--in China and Ethiopia and Japan. I love to travel and meet new people. I love to cook and play Scrabble. I have couchsurfed in the past and have hosted several acquaintances over the years.

Eclectic tastes in music, movies, and books. I've recently watched Judy, Little Women, and Knives Out. I've recently read Midnight in Peking, The Garden of Evening Mists, The Gift of Rain, The Vegetarian, and 1947: The Beginning of Now. I recently have listened to Mongolian throat singing.
