Hi, my name is Mareike, i'm 20 years old and i live in Bergheim which is about half an hour from cologne. I live in the Netherlands atm cause I'm studying Psychology there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After my graduation i spended 8 months abroad. I worked in New Zealand for couple of months, then quit my job and went travelling living in my car. First stop after New Zealand was Australia and then Indonesia. It's been the most amazing time so far and i'm so glad i was able to spend a few amazing nights with the gracious people from couchsurfing! Thats why i would be happy to host travellers as well cause i know how hard it is if you cant find a place to stay.
After coming home I quickly decided not to study and instead save money ad go travelling again so in 2017 I spend 3 months in south east Asia on my own, which was a great experience!

Interests

I'm in a youth choir since 13 years and its so much fun to sing also with kids . Further i love my dance classes. I like catching up with new people , getting to know a new language (i really want to learn spanish!) and hear interesting travelling stories and advices.

I really like all kind of music and my favourite books will forever be the Harry Potter books!
