Hi guys, I'm Mareike and 24 years old.
After finishing by bachelor studies in chemistry at the University of Stuttgart I used the time prior to my Masters for travelling. I was visiting Japan and the US, but there is still so much left to see!
I'm a kindhearted and thoughtful person, enjoying other persons company, but I can also be very sarcastic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After finishing by bachelor thesis, I want to see a little bit of the world and get to know new people and other cultures. I think, couchsurfing is a great way to get in touch with different people and maybe get some insider's tip when it comes to exploring cities and countries.
As I am living still with my family, I won't be able to host anyone :-((

Interests

I really like reading (mostly thrillers, but also classics) and when I found an interesting book, it is nearly impossible for me to stop reading ;-) I'm also a great binge-watcher when it comes to tv series. Despite my weakness for books and films/tv series, I also really appreciate good company and like to talk to other people and listen to their stories.

There are way too much books and movies to write down all my favorites. But I try to pick a few.
I enjoy reading the books written by Karin Slaughter, Michael Robotham, Cody McFadyen and Simon Beckett.
Some of my favorite movies and tv series are Grey's Anatomy, 2 Broke Girls, Big Bang Theory, Homeland, True Blood, Suits, Dr House, Kill Bill, Zombieland, Up, The Hangover,...and much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To see some turtles at the beach on Oahu has definitely been one really amazing thing :-)
