Isn't this the place where to find the coolest people in the world?
I want to meet new people, get to know them and hear what the life in their region is. Hear their stories and maybe learn something from them.
We learn all our lives and the best way to do it, in my opinion, is through other experiences.
Also sleeping on the couch and meeting new people is much more interesting than hiding in some hotel.

I've had a journey on foot over 100km through a complicated landscape without sleeping or pausing that lasted more than 20 minutes. It was a journey where I crossed myself on so many levels. It was an experience that I would never regret, something I definitely would like to do again.
