My hobby is to chase the solar eclipse and I've experienced 5 already with the 6th coming up soon in svalbard!

I started up an internet broadcast firm called antfarm which keeps me busy and inspired, making it possible to travel. yeh!

I was born in pretoria to two polish parents, and am thankful to them for teaching me to speak and read Polish despite growing up in africa with few to converse with.

I studied music(ology) after I left school, playing the classical guitar as my main instrument. After enjoying a shortish music career , I had to stop playing after damaging my left wrist while rollerblading. It wasn't such a bad accident but I didn't let the injury heal sufficiently and carried on playing as soon as I could and thus developed complications in time along with pain enough to decided to stop .. but resume later in life for fun. I continued being involved in the music scene by DJ'ing which was great fun. Now I just tinker with a ukelele sometimes, but enjoy jamming with other musicians when the vibe is friendly and warm.

Together with a close friend Pieter Mentz, we pioneered the south african VJ (videojockey) scene from '99 until he left za for berlin where he remains a celebrated CGI artist with an oscar for martin scorcese's Hugo. :)

With the antfarm work I assumed too many responsibilities with consistently great demand for my time and attention to be committed to DJ/ VJ more - but hey! try me - I'll still have awesome fun delivering! so it's all just for fun now when it happens.

I realized recently I do in fact have a hobby worth telling about - chasing solar eclipses! I have seen eclipse in hungary, zambia, south africa, easter island, and australia, now with the 6th coming up in Svalbard... eeek I have never even seen snow yet!
My ambition is to spend an hour under the dark fire sky totality...
so far I have 18min 46sec!
