Born and bred in the Lancastrian city of Preston, I'm pretty much fresh-faced out of the University of Edinburgh having completed my degree in German & History.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to participate in any way possible, right now I'm sadly not in a position to host. However, I am able to meet up, provided that I'm in Edinburgh!

Music (in no particular order of preference): Classical, Funk, Jazz, Techno, Trance, Disco, Rock, Folk, Electro, House, Synthpop, Rock 'n Roll, Soul

Books: Anything by Michael Crichton, Iain Banks, Irvine Welsh, Tolkien, Stephen King, Tom Clancy, GRR Martin and mountains of history books.

Movies: Anything that has a decent plot, stellar acting, atmosphere, nice cinematography, is original and isn't created purely in order to generate money. Admittedly I'm a massive film nerd and've seen well over 500 films.

Favourite directors would read something along the lines of: Stanley Kubrick, Danny Boyle, John Carpenter, Stephen Spielberg, Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Ridley Scott, Martin Scorsese, The Coen Brothers, David Fincher (I actually love Alien 3), James Cameron, Peter Jackson, Francis Ford Coppola, John Landis and John Hughes.
