Have you ever had a dream so big that you dropped everything to pursue it? No? Well, I just dared to do it. Over 35 years ago, I came across Paulo Coelho's book "The Pilgrimage". Years passed and as an adult, I couldn't forget about it. I made the decision and according to medieval tradition, I intend to embark on the St. James' Way pilgrimage.

Hi! My name is Marek. On Friday, April 28th, 2023 at 8:00 am, on my 48th birthday, I will begin a 3000 kilometer solo walk from Wolsztyn in Greater Poland to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.I will start my journey on the doorstep of my house, following the old medieval tradition, and then through the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, and France, I will head to Santiago de Compostela ...at the end of Europe.

For about 4 months, I will leave behind everything I know in life. Living a very simple life, sleeping mostly in the forest or with kind people, eating what I find or what I can obtain cheaply. Day by day, step by step, I intend to walk to the end of Europe... and I will only bring with me what I can carry on my back.

Do you think I'm crazy? Perhaps, but supposedly only crazy people are worth something :)
