Overview
About Me
I am passionate about traveling, curious and interested in being immersed in a culture. I just started a sabbatical leave, taking a 1 year break from teaching at an international IB school in Weimar, Germany. I love my job, especially because of the international working environment, and I decided to broaden my horizon by experiencing some of my students' home countries first hand.
The way I want to travel is to do volunteer work, and to live with/like local people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am social and like sharing my experiences with other open minded and easy going people, who are interested in cultural exchange and who love traveling the world as much as I do.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music and need music to be balanced. Depending on my mood, I listen to different music genres. I especially like listening to Indie Folk music.
I also like reading, although I didn't have time recently to enjoy reading for pleasure.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A great experience for me was to travel to Australia after I finished school. I traveled the country for one year, combining work and travel. Also, for my studies in German as a second language, I did a semester abroad in Chaing Mai, Thailand, teaching year 1 students at Chiang Mai University. After I finished my University studies, I spent 3 months traveling in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia).
