About Me

**I'm available for meeting new people and showing you my city, but I don't host anymore over couchsurfing**

~Traveler, thunder storm lover, adventure collector, Spanish learner, storyteller, rollercoaster fan, Japan addict, true Berliner~

I was born and raised in Berlin - and still live here, but I love to travel the world. Ever since I was a child, I have been interested in foreign languages and cultures. I studied English and Japanese, lived in Japan and I found a job in which I work with languages - lucky me, getting paid for what I really love to do :-) I'm especially interested and seeing new places, eating lots of local food, finding cool photo spots and gaining new experiences through unexpected situations.

**These days I'm not hosting people, as I have to work from home and need my place to myself. Since no one knows when the situation will get better, please don't send any requests**

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet nice people all over the world, share ideas, learn about different cultures, share my love for different cuisines. And I love practicing the languages I speak and learn, so write to me in English, Japanese, Spanish, (easy) French or (easy) Swedish!
I also like to spend time with people who visit me, and like everyone who really understands the idea of couchsurfing, I'm not a hotel. So please write in your request why you would like to stay with me and show me that you've read my profile :-)

Dear couchsurfers of all genders, diversity and equality are two things that are very important to me. As a woman, I know what it means to be treated unequally. Even though there are worse places than Germany for women, we as well have a long way ahead of us, until we can call our genders equal - and I mean all genders. If you feel the need to flirt or comment on my looks, please go somewhere else, and anything inappropriate will be reported.

Interests

photography, learning languages, trying out my language skills on patient people, cooking, foreign cultures and their cuisines, seeing as many world heritage sites as possible, geocaching, riding roller coasters, watching thunderstorms, getting lost everywhere I travel (the most interesting places are discovered when you get lost), martial arts, visiting abandoned places with my camera

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went all the way up to the top of mount Fushimi Inari in Japan and found a place just for myself. I sat down, listened to my favorite song, had a wonderful view over Kyoto prefecture and watched the birds as they were gliding through the air. In this most amazing country of 127 million people I was all alone.
(And now you can guess where my one and only geocache is hidden...)

I went to Rapa Nui. Mataveri airport is the most remote airport on earth and the island is one of the most mystical and magical places I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love photography, so I can recommend good photo spots or you can join me on a photo tour - also to abandoned places if you're into that :)
