Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The aim of travelling for me is not just to see places but to learn about cultures. One needs to know the people to understand their culture.
Therefore I'm glad to host visitors to Berlin and show them the life underneath the image of the tourist metropolis.

Music: I love listening to the Pixies, Element of Crime, Tocotronic, The White Stripes, The Flaming Lips, Rainald Grebe, Mia, Manu Chao, Calle 13 and lots more. If the lyrics are inspiring I don't mind any style of music. ;)

Books: Haruki Murakami is the best novelist ever. I inhale his books. Right now I'm as well into the stories of A.M. Homes.

Movies: I watch them. I enjoy them if there is more about them than pure entertainment. I love them if they oscillate with my feelings or thoughts.

I want to share ways of thinking. I want to learn what's happening in other parts of the world. I want to teach Deutsch, knitting, German meals or whatever you're interested in.
I'm really looking forward to an intercultural exchange, to practice language skills and to show people things they didn't know yet.
