About Me

things that keep me busy and alive: spending time in the nature, climbing, cooking, reading books & different science stuff, drawing, handicrafting, travelling ......, and of course having a beer with friends, discussing anything from utterly serious topics to absolutely unimportant random bullshit ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

right now i'm basically bound here with my studies, so i'd like to welcome any open-minded people who need a place to stay

Music, Movies, and Books

music - any good stuff from jazz to drum&bass, from classic music to reggae and punkrock...
books - I like a lot hermann hesse and paulo coelho, newly discovered simone de beauvoir as a great author, i am still impressed by michael ende's childrens' stories (Momo, Die unendliche Geschichte)
movies - fight club, blow, adam's äpfel, clockwork orange, gran torino...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

second day of the kepler track in New Zealand: had been woken up after a bitterly cold night by the noisy sounds of the keas, those very intelligent mountain parrots... i played with them in the morning light divulging the beautiful scenery...with the world around us covered by the first snow of the year...won´t ever forget that morning!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe everyone has something to share...
but two things come straight to my mind: languages and food recipes! The two most important ways to discover the world :-)

I'm very interested in learning Spanish and improving my French (but as well Arabic, Turkish, Nepali, ... )
I also love to learn new cooking recipes, so if you can cook, that's wonderful!

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Fiji, France, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, New Zealand
