Hi!

Nice to meet you :-) I am Maren, 29 years old, from Germany (North-Rhine-Westfalia).
I'm happy to be here and have the opportunity to get in contact with people easily!

I live in Aachen, literally at the border to Netherlands and Belgium, with my husband. That is really interesting area and most people in this region are just nice and respectful, I really like this :-)
After work, I normally like to go to the gym and do some sports or meet with friends for a coffee or dinner. Also I am in the association "DLRG", which is a German Lifesaving Association and help teaching children how to swim.

Before I moved to Aachen for my Job, i studied mathematics.

I like swimming, scuba diving and dancing (zumba, salsa, ballroom dance).

I am interested in psychology and am working towards to educate myself to be able to have a job in the social field some day.

I really like to travel and discover new countries, cities and especially the people!

Besides that, I am a lovely, loyal, funny, reasonable person with a crazy mind. Like a big child sometimes ;-)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love travelling, see other places and get to know the lifestyle of others. When I come to a new place, I am mostly interested in how people live there.

I like going out for coffee or dinner, cooking, i love to dance (especially salsa) and having nice conversations.

Also I am interested in the spanish language and culture as I spent a semester abroad in Barcelona. Always happy if I hear spanish words anywhere :-)

After my Erasmus-stay in Barcelona, I got addicted to salsa and go to salsa party, although german salsa partys cannot be compared to spanish ones...I love to get in touch with the spanish language, culture and lifestyle :) I just love the sun, warm weather and the ocean, it makes me feel free...

Besides, I like "normal" things just like cooking with my husband, watching series, reading, have a walk,...
In my free time, I like to go to the gym for some courses as Zumba or Jumping. Once a week I help at the german DLRG (Life saving society for water) to teach children how to get used to water and swim :-)

I like "girly" romantic movies or movies that have something to think about like 'Inception'.
Series: Friends, How I met your mother, Big Bang theory, Two and a half men, 2 Broke girls, Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl,...
I have no favorite author or book, but I also read "girly" things here. In the category "movie, series and books" I have not so much to talk about. Often I don't remember the story and can watch a movie twice without noticing...and my husband always makes fun of me when in a movie one actor just appears at the beginning and then at the end shows up and I'll ask "Who's that?" :-D That happens often. So better dont expect deep discussions about movies with me, I'm sorry :-S

I also love to read books and magazines about psychology things. I find it just interesting to read about and how humans are behaving in certain situations and what feelings are behind these actions. This also makes me think of what intention someone has in his or her action in daily life and be respectful with this feelings.

It's difficult to reduce this to one big thing...I think you should do amazing, surprising little things every day. I mean those things where people around you say "You cannot do this" and you ask yourself "why not?"...

I love to exchange ideas and I like to learn from other people's life.
For me it is really important to be respectful to each other and respect the other life and values. Everybody is able to just live his or her life on its best way
