About Me

I'm just a regular 20-something who loves to read, occasionally obsesses over movies and TV series, likes to learn new languages, and loves to travel.

Exploring and enjoying other cultures, discovering gorgeous places, and meeting nice people - that's what it's all about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a student it's often tough to travel to faraway places without having to plunder your bank account. Also, it's a great way to meet people, I think.

Interests

Gorgeous buildings, breathtaking views, interesting history, and good people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I still consider Harry, Ron, and Hermione my best fictional friends, so the Harry Potter series is definitely my number 1 favourite book series. The Great Gatsby is a literary masterpiece, and I would love to read War and Piece, and Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, simply because I like Russian literature.

Movies: That depends. The Lord of the Rings movies are pretty high up my list, just like Walk the Line, and basically any Leonardo DiCaprio movie. Favourite TV series include Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, and Lost.

Music: Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are definitely my favourites, but I also really love listening to Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Bon Jovi...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked, climbed, and stumbled through a river in the Escambrayan mountains in Cuba.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to learn some cooking skills, since I'm definitely not a princess in the kitchen. I've been told I'm pretty good at teaching languages (fluent in Dutch and English, my French is pretty good, and I can manage German).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Trivia knowledge (if you're into that), and some good stories.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Botswana, Cuba, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe
