About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying whatever adventures this year brings. Hopefully, more skiing and kayaking, friends in interesting places, and expanding my horizons.
ABOUT ME
Since moving to Bozeman Montana, I've enjoyed the natural surroundings of rivers, lakes, and mountains, and the many local live music events. I enjoy sharing creativity, interesting conversation, good food, and mutual encouragement. When I am not working, teaching personal growth workshops or writing books, I'm in my ceramics studio, dancing, drumming, or out with friends.
PHILOSOPHY
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?
And...Life is too short to spend around mean people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to meet new and interesting people of all ages. Staying with new friends helps me break up the monotony of the road when I am traveling, and having people over brings the world to my front door. CS makes possible wonderful new connections.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In my young 20s, I traveled with a friend through Europe, where we found it easy to connect with locals and fellow travelers, making our experience much richer. I've always been open to spontaneous friendships and guests at my home, so CS is a natural. When we lived in Marfa, Texas, my husband and I starting hosting in 2007, many interesting people have couch surfed with us, and I have stayed with some delightful new friends! Since he passed away in 2014, I've taken a break from the official couchsurfing site, but hosted by word of mouth. I'm now excited to be hosting again from my home in Montana. Also looking forward to surfing in US and beyond!
Interests
New ideas, new fun. Wild dancing, creativity and spontaneity, spiritual and emotional growth, esoteric wisdom, playing in water, music, photography, gardening, nature hikes. I've recently taken up West African Djembe drumming and kayaking, and returned to downhill skiing. My response to Covid isolation was turning my garage into a ceramics studio and teaching classes there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Only one? Hummmm. Visited Hungary during the USSR years, stage dived at the Dead Kennedys, taught Intuitive Development to students in Japan. Written and published two books.
Teach, Learn, Share
Stories of the heart, creative ventures, travel ideas to share. I can teach ceramics, how to make it through difficult changes. I love learning from travelers, where they live, where they've been, etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love gifting hosts with ceramics that I have made.
