About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore! (and maybe go to Hogwarts!)

ABOUT ME

I'm bubbly and easy-going, enjoy learning all about people's experiences through both books, TV, and especially long conversations over tea, wine, campfires, etc. I like flowers and music and dancing.

PHILOSOPHY

For me, life is all about experiencing ALL the things. I want to live out a story that's worth telling over and over again and similarly I love it when other people's stories arch with mine. I'm spontaneous and expect life to surprise me in good and bad ways, so I try to keep living in the place where I am. If home is where the heart is (sorry for the cliche) my literal heart is in my chest. So home is wherever I go!

Because I'm young, I strive to learn about other people's life philosophies because mine are constantly changing and developing. At this point in my life it's great to just go with it and let myself be influenced by as many points of view as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I have a long term living situation I would love to host travelers! Right now my partner and I are traveling to Colombia, Chile, and maybe some other places in South America. I would both like to meet up with people to make friends in new places and practice my Spanish before we both go to teach English in Chile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've really loved it! Easily the best way to travel and really meet the locals. So far I've surfed in Europe, but I can't wait to have a place where I can host and to live in a city where I can be part of the local groups and communities!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking through Tryon State park in Portland, OR, with the afternoon sun dappling through the thick green. With one friend completely silent, just listening to the sound of the trees.

Standing on top of the tower near the Comune di Siena, looking out over the burnt orange rooftops and seeing forever.

Staying up to watch the sunrise with my friends , climbing a vine-covered terrace and then crashing once people started to wake up, listening to Simon and Garfunkel.

Teaching my friend, Shenequa from NYC to swim in the Mediterranean Sea and feeling like mermaids on rocks.

Drinking cheep vodka and eating dry cookies next to Michelangelo's David in Florence. Then stumbling across Ponte Vecchio with everything all lit up and sparkling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about the history of places as well as their significance in modern life. I'm always searching for new music and theater. I'm also great at braiding hair and am learning to play guitar. I'm actually a theater and cello teacher, and love children, but will teach adults too.
