Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a journalist-in-training, I'm passionate about sharing stories. I want to travel the world chasing both the deep truths and tall tales of the human race. I discovered this website full of generous people willing to open up their homes to strangers, and I immediately knew I wanted to meet some of them.

Interests

I'd usually rather be outdoors. Hiking, biking, climbing, rafting. I'm also an avid reader who loves a good book trade and an amateur at many other hobbies including drawing, guitar, and soccer.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all-time favorite books are probably The Goldfinch, Harry Potter, Wild, My Most Excellent Year, Seabiscuit, and Unbroken.

Most recently I devoured The Vacationers by Emma Straub, and I'm in the middle of We Wish To Inform You That Tomorrow We Will be Killed With Our Families, about the Rwandan genocide.

My favorite movie is a tie between Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Jurassic Park (the original, of course).

My music taste goes in phases, but I'm currently on a kind of girl-pop-with-a-great-bassline kick.
