Overview
About Me
I am a third year student studying psychology, environmental studies, and music at my university in North Carolina. I am from a small mountain town where I grew up with ten siblings! I am a harpist of ten years and find joy in all kinds of music. I love to read, converse, knit, hike, and drink copious amounts of coffee and tea.
My current home is Chapel Hill, NC where I attend school. However, I will not be able to host until September of 2016 due to my planned summer travels. Send me a message if you are in the area and I can definitely give restaurant, concert venue, museum, or trail suggestions!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be traveling abroad for the first time this summer in Ireland. From mid-June to mid-August I will be traveling in Ireland, France, and England. I'm so excited to hike, kayak, explore museums, and meet new people. Among other things I will be hiking Wicklow Way, attending the International Irish Harp Festival, traveling a bit in France, and exploring London. I will be traveling alone and look forward to making many new friends along the way to share the journey with!
Interests
I love to share a cup of tea and a good laugh. There is nothing quite so interesting as another person. I love to swap stories during a relaxing evening or attend a concert with new friends! There are few activities that I do not find joy in but exploring a new place and learning more about others will never get old.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are simply too many. I enjoy any and all genres of music. As a harpist I especially enjoy classical but you can't go wrong with folk, bluegrass, oldies, and acapella.
I enjoy comedies and period dramas as well as many of the classic films. I enjoy the opportunity of a well-placed movie reference almost as much as watching the movie itself.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I slept in a hollowed-out, water damaged piano for four years. I am quite short so it was cozy! I was also raised with ten siblings. With a family that large I am no stranger to chaos.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to knit or you can teach me to knit better.
I can share my time, ears, solidly mediocre kitchen skills, and an endless supply of knock-knock jokes!
I'd love to learn anything that you have the time to teach me!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I promise to bring laughter, tea, and good fun!
