About Me

CURRENT MISSION

proving not all who wander are lost

ABOUT ME

Hey There.

I grew up in the USA. I started traveling and working abroad during undergrad and have been doing the same for the past four years. I spent this past summer teaching English in Gujarat, India for the summer.

I would describe myself as an easy-going person who is always ready for an adventure or a nap.

PHILOSOPHY

Do Good Work. Try Your Best. Experience the World.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Generally I have used CS while traveling - but have also hosted a few times in Lesotho!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The idea of CS is awesome to me- I am trying to become more active (so contact me!!) I have hosted a few times and have given advice when I couldn't host. I like meeting other CS as they are generally really interesting! The first time I met couch surfers they helped my friend paint a world map at her school, loooved it (look at my pictures to see the work in progress).

Interests

I love traveling and attempting to learn languages (check my languages- I almost got two down!!), teaching, finding new/global/local music, photography, eating/drinking new things...

Music, Movies, and Books

On movies... anything pre-1960 in B&W, most films in French/Italian, Love Actually, La Vita e Bella, Love and Other Disasters and any epic trilogy such as: Lord of the Rings, Starwars (the original of course), Bourne Identity etc.

On music...My music taste varies depending on what I am doing. For example: country is the only option for driving during summer in the States, for packing/traveling/coming back home, I have a special playlist where each song relates to my emotions. I really like to get into the local/current music of a spot I am traveling or living in- my collection of world music is growing, so if we ever were to met, I would love to swap music!

On books...I grew up in a family of readers- some of my favorite books will always be: Goodnight Moon, Love in the Time of Cholera, The Alchemist and of course HP 1-7. Currently I am reading two books: The Art of Mending and Wild Swans.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
