About Me

I walk a lot, I've got dependable feet and I read a map alright. I used to have a very efficient memory but now I rely on notebooks, I keep one or two on my person and have several others on shelves just in case. My brain recalls trivial details without assistance, I think it is unusual. I hope I'm brave. It's funny when people use that word as a euphemism for rude, I don't mean it that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For now I'm here as a traveler looking for people to talk to and places to sleep

Interests

I want to learn more about navigation, plant biology, meteorology, and physics (I know there are many kinds of physics, I think my favorite to listen to people talk about is particle physics) I'm also interested in laughing all the time. I like to draw and write poetry. I write prose poems actually and I want to turn them into poems and songs. If you talk about your pets and if you talk about geography I will listen with interest, I know these subjects bore some people if mishandled but I always enjoy them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm sort of tired of listening to all the music I like, there isn't much variety. I had a really good time listening to sisters of mercy at a restaurant today. I like anything that sounds like Elliott smith, it all sounds the same but it's what I like. My favorite poets are Stevie smith, Michael davitt, and Anthony hecht.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I acted in my friend's movie yesterday, it's fewer than ten minutes long and he's only planning on showing it to his friends but I think it's really good and I feel good about my role in it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a good cook and very resourceful with food. I'll mend your clothes if you want, I think it's fun and I don't want you to throw them away if you're attached. I'm conversational in Spanish but my accent is shit so if you speak Spanish you're probably more helpful to me than I am to you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share labor more readily than material goods, I didn't bring much with me. I can find lost objects, show you how to bind a book (in a couple ways, there are some I haven't mastered), I can tell you what an unfamiliar word means or help you figure it out if I don't know it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Peru, Scotland, Spain
