About Me

Hi everyone👋🏻
I am Margarethe, but just call me Maggi!
I am 19 years old and last September I returned back to Germany from a year abroad in the US.
I was an Aupair in the Boston area and originally I am from Germany, from a little town close to Hamburg. Now I am studying in Ludwigshafen, which is in the south of Germany.
At the end of my year abroad I traveled for a month and did a lot of couch surfing through the country. I like this way to get introduced to the city through people. I had really good experiences so I am excited to be travelling in the US again this summer and have the chance to meet new people through CS again.
I am gonna visit my old host family in Boston and then I will be in NYC for 4 days. I have been to NYC a couple of times but there are still so many things to explore.
I am very open, friendly and active. Also I am a very organized, flexible and neat person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling and sightseeing is one thing to get to know a place, but actually meeting the people from there is more valuable in my opinion.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I need music every day! It keeps me going and lightens me up!
Movies - I like watching movies and TV shows too!
Books - I am always reading a book but with many breaks, so it takes me a while to actually finish it. I feel like, there are always so many things that are more exciting than reading but for example on vacation I really like reading a book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We did a trip with a RV to the Grand Canyon. It was amazing and having breakfast between Joshua trees close to the canyon felt great!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to learn about local habits or secrets, special meals and I am also very interested in getting to know you and hear about your stories and adventures.
