Overview
About Me
I used to have a stutter, when I get really excited I grab people's hands. I like dancing, reading, and writing.
I am a lazy adrenaline junkie.
I care a lot about a lot of things.
Whenever I play Monopoly I end up homeless and in jail.
X-Files is my favorite show, but I always fall asleep.
I've been working on my board game prowess for 20 years, it all began as a baby...
I love bikes, coffee, and trivia.
I prefer gender neutral pronouns and harmonicas.
I have a tendency to study really niche topics. The majority of my time is spent drinking coffee, gardening, hanging out, biking, but mostly reading. And the drinking coffee thing.
---
That is from when I was traveling.
I am now pursuing a PhD in Political Science.
I have on good authority from a five year old that I am a 'cheerful grump.'
I am still working my way through X-Files.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have met so many wonderful and interesting people here. I used it to travel across the US for 9 months and learned more than I could have ever imagined.
Interests
Coffee. Doctor Who. Abandoned buildings. Bikes.
History. Political Science. Languages.
Music, Movies, and Books
The Prison Notebooks. Anything by Wendy Brown.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have ever seen -
My neighbor when I was five, built a hot air balloon bicycle, cycled (flew?) across the sky, and almost landed in a tree.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot of things that are mostly useless, but which are often somewhat required.
I am working on making political theory empirical. One of my mentors called me a 'high tech philosopher.' I am always down to talk political philosophy, political science, and care ethics.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a reasonable cook and decent at trivia.
