About Me

Imagination helps to see things.
Structuring helps to build the world around oneself.
Surprisingly (to me) during last 5 years I lived for a long time in a flat with 8 people, and also totally on my own, without leaving home for days sometimes - that is to say I can adapt to different situations and feel comfortable.
Came to St. Petersburg 3 years ago to study music (though I was in love with that city since I was 14).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel not the way I used to and invite guests (which is almost like travelling but you should also do the dishes).

Interests

Learn to play piano. Love opera: it makes happy the inner drama queen. Have a moderate interest in baroque music, hope to look into medieval someday. Addicted reader: fiction, modern and classic, Russian and English, another - translated, from Chinese to Latin American authors.
Oh, and I also collect the "ABC"'s in different languages. I have little yet, but I'm full of hopes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tastes change all the time, so listing current ones won't work :)
So I better say what I don't like.
Books like "Chinese in a month", "How to become successful". Even a cookbook is more helpful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving at night.
Starting to learn to play a piano.
Having a cat.
Listened poetry in languages that I do not know and don't understand, just to listen to the sound.

Teach, Learn, Share

Actually I love to explain something I understand, to offer help and to reply to interesting questions.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Information of anything I know and have done: sewing tents at home, a bit of horseriding and diving, historical reenactment, music theory for newbies, Russian language, what's Chinese language made of, how to take a cat from the street and be safe, what's freelance tranlator's job is about. Something pretty of tasty from St. Petersburg.
I also was told that I'm a good cook, and yes, I love baking.
