About Me

CURRENT MISSION

see the world and learn about as many cultures as possible.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy people and I learn about myself through people so no matter who you are or where you're from or what you do, chances are I will find you interesting!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyday is an adventure!!! you just have to make it one...

Life is dangerous, don't waste too much time on trying to make it safer, that's boring

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've helped my friends entertain their couchsurfers before, it was fun, this summer i'm traveling all over California, so I need hosts, when I get back home to Tucson I will be able to host people. I've also attended some couchsurfing events in LA

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have known many couchsurfers through my friends and have helped several of my friends provide entertainment and rides to their guests. So far it's just been a lot of fun meeting the couchsurfers, showing them what we do for fun and learning about what they've done and experienced during their travels.

Interests

I dance (bellydancing, ballroom, argentine tango, latin dances, swing....) I used to play an accordion, now I am in the process of re-learning how. I love talking to people and learning about their lives and experiences....I am into stop-motion animation, illustration. I love to read, especially Mystery novels, I've pretty much read all of Agath Christie. I loooovvvveee horror flicks, good or really bad ones. I watch lot's and lot's of foreign films. I really like Japanese horror films and Japanese films like Ichi the Killer, and Machine Girl.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies I like Itchi the Killer, Machine Girl, lots of horror films, mysteries, I like the movie Mulholland Dr. by David Lynch, and a bunch of his other movies like Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. I really like russian war films that were made during and after the Thaw period. Music: I like anything that you can dance to, especially cuban salsa music, argentine tango music, brazilian music, Gypsy music from different countries (especially from Russia), I don't read as many books as I should this past year, but I really enjoy reading classics, mysteries (by Agatha Christie preferably, I wish she had an infinity of books), I also like to read Stephen King, and I really like most of the films based on his books, but usually when I read the same author's books in a row, I begin to see a pattern in their story telling style and their books become predictable, so I have to take a break from them. I really like Jack London, his book "White Fang" made me cry, I love books and films that make me cry. Another book that made me cry was "All Quite on the Western Front", wonderful book. I recently watch the film Seven Pounds, it's amazing, everyone should see it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My mom and I were driving through the desert from Arizona on the way to California. It was night time. the sky was a deep blue, and I saw a giant orange dome sticking out of the ground in the distance, it reminded me of the GIANT peach in Tim Burton's James and the Giant Peach, only it seemed even bigger. I seriously believed for a second that it was a Giant Orange! (I'm a very gullible person and can be easily swayed into believing things like spider monkeys who are monkeys with eight arms, I honestly believed that when I was in highschool) As we drove on, in less than an hour, the giant orange dome rose up into the sky, it was the moon, it was very orange, just like an orange, but it was getting smaller and smaller in size. I have no explanation for this phenomenon, but I really did see it.
