My name's Margaux and I'm French. I suppose like everyone on this website I have a passion for travels since ... well for as long as I can remember !

I work as a legal adviser for an NGO in Lyon but I've also worked for NGOs in Switzerland, England, Laos and the Philippines. Even though I love my job, I love holidays and travels even more.

I'm always looking for new adventures next to my door or on the other side of the planet !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I won't lie, of course initially I came looking for free accommodation. But going through the website I quickly understood that it's so much more than this.

So yes free accommodation is nice but what I'm looking for beyond that is an exchange. Meeting people from different cultures, with different interests in life and experiences to share. I would also love the opportunity to discover a place, a city, a country as seen and lived by the locals. I believe there is no better way to discover a culture than to immerse yourself in it and couchsurfing seems like a good way to do exactly that.
