About Me
ABOUT ME
Open and non-judgmental, always ready to have a laugh. I went travelling solo for 6 months in 2012... had rather enough of hostels, I found conversation became a bit automatic and lifeless after meeting new people ALL the time. Not that I'm opposed to meeting new people of course, just not on such a regular basis!
I finished my degree in English Literature in 2016 and have since been doing odd jobs like setting up a stall selling Kashmiri shawls, working as a private cook in Scotland, waitressing, and doing internships. But I have now finished my journalism course and am starting work in a big newsroom as what is essentially a filter for all the audio and visual news coming through.
I'm also crazy about picnics, so crazy a out them I write a blog called www.picknicblog.com !
PHILOSOPHY
Maybe something like, never assume you know everything? I feel like, as you get older, you realise more and more how little you know and how much you have to learn - it's exciting!

Music, Movies, and Books
I think the safest bet music-wise is Bombay Bicycle Club... I never tire of their music, I think they are incredibly talented.
Books: I do love The Great Gatsby, every read you notice something different, or perhaps even another layer of meaning.
And films... The Lord of the Rings trilogy - without doubt the best film-sequence ever created.
Just updating my profile and need to add a new-found director for me that I love - Almodovar - just love most of his films, esp. Bad education.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking up and down Table Mountain. That much exercise is kind of a big deal for me... Plus obviously it was really just so beautiful up there.
