My name is Margit Arnadóttir Nielsen and I'm 20 years old. I'm in high school at the moment, my second year.
After high school I'm going straight to the university to study Law and Politics. Or that's the dream at the moment.
I live at home with my mom, dad, 2 siblings and a puppy. I have a boyfriend. We have known eachother since I was born (He's 4 months older than me). We have been friends our whole life, but when we were 19, we started dating. But we had our first kiss when we 14 or 15 years old.
I'm raised and practicing Christianity, but I respect all religion.
I'm a very spontaneous person and I love having an active life. I'm not afraid of trying new things and I often go outside my comfortzone.
I don't drink alcohol (A cider doesn't hurt tho) or smoke and I'm a very calm person, very shy at first, but I adjust quickly.
One thing that is very important to know about me is that I'm not a big fan of meat at all... I eat it, but not so much.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I made a very spontaneous decision in May. I talked about going to travel and 20 minutes after saying that I had already ordered the cheapest ticket I could find. So the place I'm travelling to is Barcelona, Spain 7th October to 21st October 2015.
I only get the money that I get paid for going to school (YES, we get paid, but not much) and the part time job that I have (6-9 hours a week) So I don't have a lot of money to spend. But I don't believe money are everything when it comes to fun and that's why I'm doing this. I think that I can have an amazing time, even if I'm short on money. So I hope to not only spend a night or two at your home, but I hope you can show me Barcelona or give me some tips. I'm gladly and thankfully staying one night or if you have time and if you want to I want to stay for the entire time I'm in Barcelona.

I'm a member of a political youth party called Unga Tjóðveldi. We stand for welfare, equality and being an independent country (The Faroe Islands are not independent). My personal most important values are freedom and equality for everyone.

I love languages which is why I study 5 languages at school. Spanish is one of them, so I hope to learn more on my trip.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love the sound of music. I can listen to almost anything and I don't have any favorites. And I can play the flute.
I don't really watch movies, which is why I have only seen a few. But I'm craaaazy about tvseries. I watch all categories but comedy is definetly the best!
I used to read a lot, I own a lot of books. But since school got more serious than ever, I don't have time to read anything else that books that I use in school. (Here the second year in high school is the hardest to get trough)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My grandfather got cancer last year. He was a very active man. Took long walks twice a day and was on the fitnessbike once a day 7 days a week. He was very overweight and that lifestyle changed his life. He had lost around 80 kg around the time he got diagnosed.
I chose to live an active life to honor him and make him proud, because the doctors told us on day 1 that he would never get well. I signed up to walk a half marathon in honor for cancerpatients. A half marathon is a lot and hard physically, but it can't be compared to what they go trough! He was alive when I signed up, but on the day I walked the half marathon it was only 6 days since I was at his funeral. He battled for around 8 months and left this earth at 60 years old.
So my amazing thing is staying active. Every day!
