About Me

When I was really little I used to really love maps and this really old plastic globe I had. They just hypnotized me. I could have watched them for hours or play games with them and think or point to places I wanted to go to. Even though I was so small that I didn't know anything about the countries on the maps. It all just felt like an adventure is waiting for me. I guess it was because I had read so many books, but I just wanted to go everywhere and to see the unknown.

Now I still love maps. I know the names and locations of most countries in the world. But I don't only want to know the names, I want to know the culture. I want to dig deeper. I haven't been to a lot of places yet, but I have a long life ahead of me. I see Couchsurfing as a way to experience the real deal. To get to know the place I'm visiting and the kind host who offers me their couch and shares their views and stories.

Sometimes I am an extrovert, sometimes an introvert. Sometimes I can be a little bit shy and maybe quiet, but I'll always be friendly and open to learning new things and meeting people. I love to laugh, smile and listen to stories.

I live in Otepää, which is a really small town. It's the winter capital of Estonia. We usually have the most snow in the country and the skiing competitions take place here. I really like snow, but I'm not a big fan of the coldness of the winter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to Couchsurfing so I have no experiences yet, but I've heard a lot of good things about it.

It seems like a really awesome opportunity to travel the world and stay with someone local, who can share their stories and views. Someone who will show and share the secrets of their hometown with quests. It's a way to really see how people live in the places you visit.

All people are so special and have a lot to say. It's a way we can meet up with people from all around the world who are just like you, but at the same time nothing like you.

Interests

My main hobby is eating. :D

I like learning new things and I love seeing art and doing art(painting, drawing), reading, sports, writing poetry and stories, listening to music, singing and I play a little bit of guitar and piano. I enjoy being with friends and just having fun.

I'd like to make every person i meet smile. Love to make people happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of different kinds of music. Some of my favorite artists, composers or bands are: Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Ryan Keen, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Chopin and so on.

The sad thing is I rarely know the words to any songs :)

I could say that the next book I read would be my favourite. I love the Harry Potter series, The Wilderness family, The perks of being a wallflower, The Catcher in the Rye, All Quiet on the Western Front and more and more. Goodreads.com is one of my favourite sites.

I also really like to watch movies. Mostly, i like to watch comedies and action and of course animation movies.
From Estonian movies I would recommend you to watch "1944", which is quite a new movie that focuses on the Second WW and shows how wars ruin peoples lives no matter whose side you're on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"It’s a beautiful thing to have lungs that allow you to breathe air and legs that allow you to climb mountains, and it’s a shame that sometimes we don’t realize that that’s enough"

I don't know who is the author of this quote, but it makes me think that everything we do is amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn something from every person I meet.
Hopefully they can learn something from me too.

For example, I can teach you the Estonian language.

Happiness is contagious, so we can all share it!

I have never sung karaoke before, so that would be a fun thing to do!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my stupid not-funny jokes with everyone and of course a big smile!
