Live and learn!
ABOUT ME
I am currently on a trip around the world. I have traveled so far through SE Asia and now I am in China. I will be heading across Russia and through Eastern Europe, down to South Africa, and then over through South America. I am looking to make better connections with the cultures and cities I visit and hope couchsurfing can help me get a glimpse. I look forward to returning the favor when I get home to the US in 2013.
I have traveled extensively through the USA and can also give advice if needed, although no couch to offer right now.
My friends would tell you that I am adventurous and always ready for a good time. I love food, wine, beer, and the great outdoors.
PHILOSOPHY
Eat, drink, and be merry!
Learning is best done by experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to start participating by surfing first, considering I don't have a couch to offer right now.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Let's see how is goes. I get along with everyone and love learning from people I meet, so I think this will be a positive experience. I have only heard good things.
Interests
Things that grab my attention are good conversation and new and different points of view on the world. I stay engaged through travel and by setting small goals for myself. For example, getting my scuba certification, taking classes, or signing up for a run or triathlon to keep me motivated. I like to push my limits and value learning. Otherwise I enjoy spending time with friends and family, movies and reading. No surprises there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I find small things in life generally leave me awestruck. Like the kindness of the Chinese people I have met in the past few days and their generosity of spirit in helping me find my way around eventhough I know almost no chinese. Or seeing my neice every few months and the growth and progress she has made. Or meeting a French couple who are biking the great mountain ranges of the world, when sometimes I consider a bus a long journey. These small things give me inspiration.
