About Me

My main passion in life, is to know more about life. Life in my country, for the different persons living in it, life in the other countries, their traditions, culture, society, landscapes,... If I chose to study journalism, it's because I'm curious about everything and I'm interested in many many (an uncountable number of) issues. I'm easy going and open-minded. Which means that I'm perfectly satisfied with a spot where I can unfold my sleeping bag and have a nice conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lots of my friends told me about their amazing couchsurfing experiences while they were travelling so I decided to go for it as well. I spent two years and a half travelling around South, Central and North America. I met so many interesting and beautiful people through the app who accepted to host me so now I feel that it is my turn to give it back.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music but mostly house/balkanic/electronic/techno/tribal-ethno music. I went to a bunch of music festivals in Belgium and Europe. But I also like dancing and latino/spanish musical culture. I dance a little of salsa and love to learn any other kind of dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The issues of immigration are very important to me. In November, a friend and I organized an event in Brussels with concerts and food to raise funds in order to serve meals to hundreds of migrants and homeless people sleeping in the streets of our capital. This event was a huge success and thanks to all the participants we received three times the funds necessary for making a meal to the refugees. This allowed to make donations to several humanitarian organisations helping migrants.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yoga Teacher. I'm from the french-speaking part of Belgium so it would be a pleasure to teach some french to my hosts/guests if they want to. I love talking about my travels and always want to learn news things and langages. I love eating, discovering new food, cooking or knowing new places to grab a drink or have a meal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think that travelling is about discovering new cultures and sharing with locals more than anything. I'm not someone who will take lots of place in your home but I love meeting new people and gathering tips from locals because they are the ones who know the best about their city. That's why - I'm sure - you will be a great help to me. I also like eating and even if I'm not the greatest "Cordon Bleu", I'd love sharing a good meal with friendly hosts or cooking for them. As I'm a girl travelling alone, I need to feel safe in the places where I will couchsurf.
