About Me

Hi, my name is Margot. I just finished university and am starting to explore life after school. I think I have a fun and outgoing personality. I'm very open-minded, easygoing, and like to think that I have a good sense of humor.

I think I prefer the beach to the mountains, but I must say that when I hiked in the Andes a couple years ago, I fell in love with mountains and would love to do more hiking in my life.

Right now, I'm just looking to travel around Europe until it's time to go back to the states. I love getting to know people and visiting new cities, so I'm very excited to get out in the world and explore!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's pretty special to learn about a place from someone who actually lives there, and this seems like an opportunity not only to explore a new city but also to meet really cool people along the way.

Interests

I have an adventurous palate-- love trying new foods. Love almost all foods for that matter.

I'm a runner, coffee-enthusiast, live music goer, amateur photographer, and beginner world traveler. So many places to go and just not enough time!!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music! My music library is constantly on shuffle from stuff like the Black Keys to Antônio Carlos Jobim to Kanye. If you're not listening to Hiatus Kaiyote right now you should be.

I can't pick a favorite movie right now, but I like the LOTR triology and Birdman a lot.

Books: everything by Junot Diaz, Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, the Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, the Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolaño... hm Murakami, Bill Bryson, Kurt Vonnegut, Davis Sedaris...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finished my first marathon this past May. It was one of my favorite life experiences so far and I look forward to running another one in the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love running and am always looking for a running partner at any experience level! If you're very good at running I may be a little slower than you...but I love going on runs with people.

I also love to cook and bake-- always willing to share recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my happy go-lucky attitude, gentle sense of humor, and good times with whomever I meet. I'm also always down to share food, and I'm very respectful of other people's space. I'd love to cook a meal or two for anyone willing to host me, and I'm always willing to practice different languages-- French, English, and Spanish are the only ones I can work with at the moment, but always trying to learn more!
