About Me

Hey, I'm Margot! I was born in the US, grew up in Mauritius and my parents are Italian and French.
I studied in Paris and London and I am currently living near Rome.
I am super open-minded for most things, pretty sarcastic but would like to consider myself friendly and funny anyway but that's not up to me.
I am ready for new experiences and love finding activities and places that are out of the ordinary like preparing magic potions in a bar or virtual ping pong, but I have already done those so surprise me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Uh.. I heard you get free accommodation here..?
Jokes aside, meeting people from everywhere in the world is thrilling and since I am usually quite introverted this is a great way to push me out of my comfort zone and make friends :)
All of my experiences with Couchsurfing have left me with amazing, long-lasting memories and the generosity and simple kindness of people is so refreshing in this frantic world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently into these:

Music - Mostly anything rock, and classics like Green Day, Muse, Linkin Park, Queen, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rolling Stones
Tv Show - Brooklyn 99 is probably the funniest show I've ever seen, I dare you to prove me wrong! (I need something else to watch anyway)
Movies - Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, LOTR, Matrix
Books - Big fantasy fan, from the most cringe to the classics

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Renting a car in Ireland with 2 friends was pretty cool; no planning whatsoever, we ended up following our CS hosts' recommendations.
One night no one was answering but we managed to find a man in the middle of a suspicious-looking empty lot. We had trouble localizing him because everything was dark except for his flashlight and we hesitated for a second because it seemed way too similar to the start of those trash horror movies but followed our gut and gave him a chance. He turned out to be a very nice man who lived in humbly furnished containers and lived off his music and art. He had painted on everything he owned, every surface, and told us about the old legends of his village and how he liked to portray than in his paintings. It was a beautiful experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you everything about how to properly take care of pet shrimp.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will give you examples of what I can't share with you: starting with my toothbrush. Just the fact that you would use someone else's toothbrush means there's something wrong with you unless it's like an emergency, but I can't think of any. Then there's my kidney, for obvious reasons.
And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES am I sharing my pizza..
