About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Become a midwife.
ABOUT ME
I'm trying to be as simple as possible, and enjoy the little things in life. I enjoy getting my hands dirty, built, fix and grow stuff... anything that makes me feel useful. More recently, I've discovered the calm power of life at sea and fell in love with it.
I tend to stay away from really big crowds and shiny cities. I travel to meet people rather than seeing a never-ending stream of landscapes and monuments - simply because my memory doesn't work so well with landscapes.
I enjoy children's company for everything they have to teach me. I look for people with a very different vision of life than mine to allow myself to keep on an open-minded and tolerant mind. And I always appreciate time with my fellow wanderers that have had nothing to prove to nobody for a very long time.
Born in Paris, raised in Angers, western France. Went back to Paris to study and live by myself at age 16. Dropped off university at 18, have been travelling since then (3 and a half years now in February 2015).
PHILOSOPHY
I don't know how it works for other people, but I need to move, I constantly need to see new things, to meet new people. I'm not trying to find money or glory, I just want to find happiness, and I'm happy when I travel.
I decide to trust everybody, because I've noticed that when you give your trust as a gift, not a lot of people will want to show you how wrong you were and how untrustworthy they are. 99% of the time, it works, and really, the 1% left... doesn't deserve any kind of attention.

Interests
The ocean was the most exciting thing in my life as a little girl and now that I got to spend long silent hours facing it during my watches across the South Pacific, I'm pretty much sure I always have been in love with it. As a fisherwoman, a diver and a sailor , I am eternally grateful for all the wonders it has to offer and I wish nothing else for it to keep on being wonderful. I'm currently on my way back to France to get a diploma in sailboat maintenance... hopefully that'll get me on my way to own a little boat and take off again, this time as my own captain.
I'm really interested in self-sufficient living and I love building stuff.
I love cooking as a big experiment. I rarely open a recipe book, since I'm not organized enough to follow it through.
I can spend hours lying down just listening to music.
I'm a beginner at the guitar, but definitely love it.
Otherwise : alternative lifestyle, books, little towns, cooking, volcanoes, dumpster-diving, singing, dogs, tap and swing dancing, social activism...

Music, Movies, and Books
I love old folk, old country music, classic rock, jazz, blues, traditional irish music, "chanson française"... but I'm really curious about everything and there's nothing I like more than discovering new artists. I'd say at the moment the artists I listen to the most are Paul Simon, Donovan, Neil Young and the Grateful Dead... but it changes often.
I'm really fascinated by Woody Guthrie, both his life and the major influence he had on music, so if anybody shares that passion, I'm really ready to talk about that for hours...
I'd love to say that I read as much I used to when I was growing up but that would be a blatant lie. Sure I still go through a book every month or so, but it'd be hard for me to be sure and say "that's my favorite book"
When it comes to cinema, I dislike anything pretentious or especially despising the common people (I find it's something that gets to be quite frequent lately and I cannot stand it) but otherwise I guess my tastes are quite diverse.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I might have traveled to a lot of different places and in a lot of different ways but nothing compares with spending time with a young kid and seeing him or her learn how to walk, talk and slowly discover life and things.
Being an au pair certainly opened my eyes on how beautiful and hard it is to raise a family, and on the generousity it requires.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm currently learning Swedish and Italian, and I'm also willing to improve my German, so everybody with this kind of knowledge and willing to share it is much welcome, but I'm curious about anything people can teach me, and I like to share my "knowledge" too...
Here are some ideas of what I'd like to improve in :
> Music
> Sewing
> Do-it-yourself skills
> Cooking (not bad at it but always willing to learn more recipees)
