Hello, my name is Mari! I am from Japan but I am currently doing one-year study abroad in Prague.
Back home I was born and raised in Kobe (maybe you've heard of Kobe Beef ❤️). Everyday I take train for about 2 hours to go to university in Kyoto, where I consider one of the most beautiful places in Japan... with ancient temples, matcha food, geisha/maiko walking around... it is just amazing.

In my life, I have always loved getting to know other culture.
After attending almost Japanese-only school for 9 years, I decided to go international by attending school with somehow like "international course", then my life has changed dramatically with people from all over the world. I have found my enthusiasm in sharing my culture and to know more about the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried my first Couch Surfing in April 2017, it was one of the most amazing experience I have ever done... Wow, how wonderful CS is to connect people all over the globe.. I loved it so much and since I am much more flexible in Europe than back home in Japan, I would like to try some more.
