My name is Mari,

Originally, I am Armenian, but i was born and raised in Moscow, moved to Armenia almost three years ago.
So, I wouldn’t say I’m a local, but I love this city and know many great places I’d love to show you.

I really enjoy meeting new people, sharing life experiences, and different perspectives on the world, which is why I joined Couchsurfing.
I love spreading positive vibes and going for walks.

I studied Advertising and Public Relations
Now I work remotely as an event manager in Moscow.
In Yerevan, I study clothes and jewelry design, and other cool things like natural dye or beads pleating, and I’d be happy to share my experience.

I’m also planning trips for next year, so if we vibe well, would be nice to have people to meet around

Have two dogs and two sisters hahaha
In free time i enjoy watching movies, tv shows, anime, playing videogames, oh! and i love to play pool and table tennis!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to host people, but unfortunately i live with my relatives for now.

So i'm looking forward for hang out in Yerevan and maybe cities nearby. As long as I hadn't enough time or effort, i've seen only Yerevan and Dilijan, would love to go to Gyumri, Ijevan, Jermuk, Lori, Caxkadzor, etc.

Main goal is to practice english and spanish, also to have good vibes, cultural exchange and create kinda friendship and stuff.

Mostly i like to watch thrillers, but my favourite movie is "Clue" (1985) and maybe "The Greatest Showman".
Also i feel deeply "Cloud Atlas" and "The Giver"

Books
I love "The Minds of Billy Milligan", i likes Edgar Allan Poe's stories, King's, Hugo's, Wells's books, so mostly chilling stories
But i also liked fun book "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy", romance such as "The Notebook", tragedy "Wuthering Heights", "The Gadfly" aaaand i love dystopian books such as "1984", "Brave New World", "A Clockwork Orange", "The Hunger Games", "Battle Royale", etc.

Also i like anime

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kinda hard, i'll give you a few short facts

1. I combined fulltime remote work with art classes, and sometimes even something else
2. I carry 2 unplanned dogs
3. I traveled twice with a friend that is not suitable traveler (that's stupid i know right)
4. I went to Armenia for 2-3 months, but i stay here until now (2,5 years)
5. I like to cook non typical things rather buy them, something like kimchi, hummus, etc.
6. I started to speak english just this year and i belive that i got kinda mid-survival level pretty fast
7. I started to learn manual work less than 2 years ago, but already can sew and make jewelry, dye fabric, do blockprinting, beading and i'm still on that way
