Hi! My name's Maria. My passion in life is learning and right now I am on a mission to learn as much about the world as I can through travelling and meeting new people. I love talking and sharing stories and experiences. So far I've been to Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Egypt, UAE, Turkey, Spain, Belarus, and Italy. Currently backpacking through Europe with my husband :) (Not hosting at the moment for this reason).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to register on Couchsurfing because I met a lot of interesting and original people while travelling - in hostels, in trains and buses and everywhere I went - so now I want to continue that cultural exchange. I have a lot to share and still more to learn from different people all around the world - and you especially, if you're reading this ;)

Interests

I enjoy reading like nothing else. Besides that, my passion is for trekking and travelling in general, yoga (although I'm just a beginner), languages, history and writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking through Sierra Nevada; climbing a 3000+ metres high mountain in the Tien-Shan foothills; feeding stingrays.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot of photos and stories to share, little lifehacks about famous sights throughout Europe, fun myths and legends from Russian folklore. Moreover, there is a little gift in store for every host :)
