Hi! My name is Maria, I'm from Slovakia, little country "in the heart of Europe".
I studied at bilingual francophone high-school which gave me the kick start of traveling. Now I'm third year med student, which I love and it's also my biggest passion.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Of course because of traveling. :) With every trip I took, I "grew up" a little as a person. I hope you understand me. I come from very little, post soviet and a bit isolated country, there is not much diversity of nations nor cultures in Slovakia, or better said there wasn't . So meeting new people with different opinions and cultural background opened my eyes. Traveling gave me so much experiences and unbreakable bonds with my friend all around the world. That I consider it as one of the best choices I've ever made.

Música, películas y libros

I'm all about indie & electro - Asbjørn, The XX (fav), MØ, Rangleklods, Banks, Chet Faker, Flume, Disclosure, Moderat, but much more from classic music to rock, I always listen to music, while studying, cooking, sporting, ...
fun fact: I used to play spanish guitar for 7 years :D

Movies: so here I've really got something to improve. I haven't seen much movies, not even the great classics, sadly. When I was kid I was always so over-ocuppied with all the hobbies and stuff that TV was really something super special for me. Also I have 3 siblings so imagine the fights over the tv remote as the eldest I needed to surrender. And eventually not watching TV or cinema has stuck with me.

I love books, I prefer contemporary authors but also I wouldn't hesitate to read the classic. But reading classic reminds me much of high school as we always did the never ending analysis. :D I'm currently reading Perks of being wallflower. Last finished was Sorcière de Portobello and the next to go is Norwegian wood.

I think saving a life would win every time so that's it :D few times I was lucky enough to be at the right place in a right time.

I actually don't know what to write in here but as I'm a ski trainer and instructor, if you come to Slovakia you can count on me.
Also I can teach you the basic suturing and I'm certificated medical trainer of soft skills. :)
