Musik, Filme und Bücher

My favourite film director is Fatih Akin. He is a Turkish director born and raised in Hamburg. His films depict the transformation of German society and how multicultural it is and how people can define themselves in a new environment. His lattest film "The Cut" is about the Armenian genocide.

It is really hard to tell which is my favourite book. Once I start a book I am either in love with it or the opposite. Lately I started reading more of Greek literature especially about the Greek population of the Ottoman Empire.

A book I recently read and cannot forget is " Jerusalem " by Goncalo Tavares.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

One amazing thing I have done is moving abroad. Once you experience other countries and cultures, you become able to appreciate the beauties of your own country that you had probably taken for granted and you understand more of yourself . This valuable knowledge cannot be found in a thousand books. This experience started for me started when I did Erasmus in Czech Republic.
