Overview
About Me
I've always been described as a positive, energetic, sunny girl. People say I'm also theatrical in the way I talk and move my hands (yep, I'm typical Italian). And they also say I'm funny, which is something I'm really proud of :D
I live in a little town in the North of Italy with my parents and three siblings (so I can't host people right now) and I spend most of my days in Milan. There, I got my BA in Arts last April and I attend an acting school - where weird people gather to make theatre, there I feel at home!
In 2015, I've been in Erasmus in Glasgow (Slàinte mhath! Had the time of my life in bonnie Scotland) and I wasn't able to keep still ever since! So in order to live the city life in Milan, I'm literally couchsurfing at friends' places all the time (can't afford a flat yet... being an Italian student stinks sometimes). I hope to be a friendly and respectful person to host. Since I've slept on so many couches (more than once, in some cases) I assume to be likeable!
In August 2016, I did an interrail around Europe with a friend of mine (lovely Roberta) and we stayed at fantastic people's places during our journey. Meeting them was one of the best things of our trip!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe people to be one of the most common and at the same time complex beings on this planet: so full of mysteries and incredible sides, bringing worlds with them and profound experiences... I think one of my purpose in life is trying to understand them, to be enriched my them, to empathize with them, to discover them. That's one of the reasons why I love acting and, of course, Couchsurfing!
That's why hotels don't suit me - I'm always eager to meet local people, to have an open-minded and somewhat adventurous travel. I like to wander through the city streets and see places that someone may recommend me, and not only the typical tourist destinations :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I suppose I'm among those who listen to every type of music, as long as they like a song. I grew up in a house where people listen to classics - from Mozart and Beethoven to The Beatles. But if I had to pick a genre, I would go for indie folk and rock. Laura Marling, Franz Ferdinand, Mumford and Sons, Paolo Nutini, and the Italian songwriters Fabrizio de Andrè and Mannarino are the artists I'm listening to the most.
Plus, I'm a crazy dancer, so I'm always on for happy, energetic music :D
I love singing! I've been in a choir for many years and I happen to sing all the time (but I won't disturb you in the middle of the night trying to impersonate Maria Callas, don't worry!)
I come from a cinemaholic family - films have always been our daily bread. I can't pick a favourite genre here either, but my bachelor thesis has been about Star Wars. So I will respect my early teenage years' passion and say science fiction movies. With years passing by, I started liking more and more independent or niche films.
Among actors, Al Pacino is the greatest of all.
As far as books are concerned, I know Harry Potter by heart, in both English and Italian (eheheh!). But that mania has been gone for a few years. I'm more into self-discovering or poetic readings right now. I also have an inclination for 19th century novels, but unfortunately I haven't had much time to read for pleasure lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making people laugh when they were sad and listening to them when they needed someone to talk to.
Teach, Learn, Share
“I know now, Kostja, I understand, finally, that in our profession — acting, writing, it makes no difference — the important thing is not fame, it’s not glory, it’s not what I dreamed it was, but the strength to endure. Bear your cross and have faith. I believe, and it helps. And when I think of my vocation, I do not fear life.”
(Anton Chekhov, "The Seagull", Nina's final monologue)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope to share a good time: I like going out, exchanging stories, having a laugh and I'm always up for singing if someone plays or sings as well!
Plus, Italian food is on me, if you wanna have a taste of my cooking (they say I'm good!). I can also teach you the Italian hand gestures... I've done it a few times now, and it's always a pretty funny experience ;)
