Hi there! I'm Maria. Almost 35 but teenager in spirit :)

My friends say that I'm a funny and positive person with a good sense of humor. I'm an optimist so I always try to find only good side of every situation. I hate complaining and whining. If you don't like something in your life, change it. If you can't change it, accept it and find the positive sides in it.

I love life as it is. I'm very inquisitive person and it's always interesting for me to communicate with people on different things, except the politics. I love active life. I'd rather go outside to walk the streets of the city or spend my time in nature then stay home. I like to meet new people, to make new friends, to learn something new from them. I like to find out about myself through communication with people. To do myrself better than I was yesterday.

I am inspired by people and stories of their lives.

I love photography and art. I can't live a day without music.

Food and wine is my special addiction. I think that's why I chose to work in the restaurant business. I love to discover new dishes, national cuisine of different countries and drink a glass of a delicious wine or beer. In the near future I'd like to take sommelier and winemaking courses and make it my profession.

I love physical activities but the gym indoors is not for me. I prefer to ride a bicycle or roller skates in the summer, skating or skiing in the winter. I love to spend my free time on nature. Forest and sea are my places of strength. And I also love to practice yoga and meditate.

I love animals. They make our life better.

My dream is to travel around the world. I want to discover culture, art, nature, cuisine, to communicate with people from different countries and learn about their lives. For some reason I didn't have an opportunity to travel for a very long time and I don't have a lot of experience. But now things change and I'll do everything to make my dream come true.

I'm a single mom of a wonderful 7-year-old boy. I'm divorced but still believe in love :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always wanted to travel by myself without buying tours from travel agencies. And I always dreamed of such travels when I come to the country not like a tourist. But I come there to live. To discover the life of the people of this country from the inside, to see their homes, to communicate with them, to learn more about them... how they live, what inspires them, what they dream of, what they like to eat etc. It seems to me that couchsurfing is a perfect project for people like me. Openminded, friendly, inquisitive and active. I really hope that here I will find not just hosts with whom I can stay, but also real friends :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music so much, can't live without it. I love different music styles. My favorite bands and musicians are: Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To Mars, The Neighbourhood, Coldplay, Banks, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran etc.
I'm also addicted to movies and series. It's hard to list all of my favorites. I love very different movies. I can watch a complicated art house either a superhero movie of Marvel. I really love fantasy. My favorite series are "Game of Thrones" and "Stranger things".
As for reading, when I'm going out I always have a book with me. I have a lot of favorites. It will take a lot of time to list em all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I changed my life when I was going down in the deep. I left my husband who was strangling my life, I left alone with the child, raised a wonderful son, who is already 7 years old. I got up on my feet. I has overcome all difficulties and obstacles. I keep following my dreams no matter what. And most importantly - I love life no matter how hard it hurts me.
