About Me
CURRENT MISSION
experiencing life and trying to save the world :)
I am a very inquisitive person. New places, new people, new ways of thought, new experiences... I am keen on getting to know them.
So I love travelling - but I also like to spend time in my "comfort zone" - which consists of my friends and family and my homes in Göttingen, Bamberg and on Amrum.
I try to live my life in an open-minded, honest and sustainable way. I would like to share it with you while travelling and staying at your place or hosting you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, couchsurfing is a way of sharing: Sharing homes, experiences, knowledge (about places and life in general). It's also about trust and openness, and all these things are very important for me. I would like to live in a world where people trust each other and share what they have. Contributing to couchsurfing is one way to do this. And, of course, it's a cheap and convenient way of travelling.
Right now I'm not able to host, but I'd like to do that as soon as possible.
Interests
Oh, many, too many! My big problem is my lack of focus - I just can't decide what I'm most interested in ;-)
First of all I'm interested in people - their way of living, their culture, their worldview. I like making new friends, having good conversations and spending time together.
I'm interested in subjects like sustainability, queer feminism, human rights and philosophy (even though I don't know much about it yet). I loved my studies - geography is such a diverse and thrilling subject. I'm especially interested in food security (or sovereignty), soil science and sustainable development.
I also love reading. Literature has always been one of my great interests, and I'd love to discuss with you. Making music is one of my hobbies, too. I've been playing the violin for many years now and I enjoy playing together.
While studying I've been "wwoofing" (working on organic farms) and I liked it a lot. So gardening and working with food has become a hobby of mine, too. I've learned a lot about sustainable living and self-sufficiency and I'd like to learn some more.
And travelling of course! There are many stories to be told about travel experiences, beautiful places and inspiring acquaintances!
My greatest hobby is acrobatics though. I've been doing partner acro for years now and I train 2-4 times a week. So if you visit, I might spend the evening there, but I might be able to bring you along if you're interested.
So let's have a glass of wine, beer or juice together and let's spend some good time with each other. I'm looking forward to meeting you! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
* Spending a voluntary year on an island in the North Sea - one of my best decisions so far. It's been full of unique experiences: Spending New Year's Eve walking at the beach in absolute darkness, watching grey seals guarding their babies, building a cage out of chairs and blankets in the living room at the age of 20... ;-)
* Celebrating my birthday in London - together with two new friends. We bought a bottle of wine and a package of crisps and sat at the bank of river Thames, enjoying the night and talking about anything and everything.
Teach, Learn, Share
