About Me

The World is a fascinating place and I would like to see all of it.
This year I just realised my long planned trip to Japan. I already miss it. Next target unknown. My other dream destinations are Mongolia, Pakistan and China at least one more time. I'm also quite keen on the idea of going to central Asia.
Currently I live in Cracov. I graduated from university some time ago and I work as a computer programmer (.Net developer).
In everyday life I like good tea, potatoes, sunshine and Polish mountains.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simply cause I can.

Interests

Travelling has probably become the core one through the years. When I can't travel (which means most of the time - that nasty adult life) I do some connected stuff like practicing photography or hiking in mountains on weekends. Apart from this I also like cooking - especially asian style cuisine. I'm interested in folklore - I studied ethnology and comparative culture studies just for fun. I have special interest in tradicional medicine and herbs. Learning new languages is also probably one of my hobbies too. Last year I started to study Chinese. I used to paint once, but then I became a happy person so I stopped. But I hope one day I can come back to it (but of course not to being unhappy) :P

Music, Movies, and Books

I like some folk and atmospheric metal (my favourite would be Agalloch I guess, some albums by Bathory too), not metal too (recently Current 93), some sentimental old songs from 50s and 60s. I don't read much recently, LOTR would still be my favourite book I suppose.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done some. In travelling category I would highlight hitchhiking to Turkey and self-organizing a trip to China.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work full time so I most probably won't have enough time to be a guide or go out together - but I can give some advice on where to go. I know the city quite well. I can offer some free maps too. I like cooking so it may happen that travellers can count on some home made bread ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Macedonia, Morocco, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine
