Greek by birth 🌞, Finn by choice ☃️. I’m the "quiet-for-a-Greek" type, cheerful and social, but I’ve embraced the Nordic solitude (and the icy lakes).

Currently, I’m a PhD researcher focusing on degrowth and energy communities. If you want to talk about climate crisis, solidarity, or how to save the world while knitting a sweater, I’m your person. I’m also quite restless: I paint, kayak, play guitar, and dream of a simple life with a garden and a few goats (yes, the goats are strategic to make greek feta and hence greek salad!). 🐐🛶🌻🧶🎨

📖 I would pick all Bronte sisters books, having a weakness for Anne books - I read a lot and I write even more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

🌊🚨I once spent an entire day battling crazy winds in a kayak full of water on a Finnish lake, becasue I went kayaking without checking wind speed lol. I finally made it to shore by sunset only to find the 112 emergency rescue team searching for me with 1 drone and 7 boats because my friends panicked.

🖋I can share a poem written specifically for you (once I get to know you a bit), or a deep dive into the philosophy of degrowth.

I can show you Lappeenrant as I experience it, changing every season, from icy swims and snow-walks to sunbathing by the lake in midsummer nights. Maybe I will not offer the original Finn experience, but I drink, sing karaoke and go to the sauna like a Finn!
