Hello! My name is Maria Diana, I am 19 years old. I am a student, but I am not afraid to work, always ready to help. I spent my childhood in Ukraine and remember this time with warmth. I received my secondary education in Poland, this allowed me to choose between universities from different countries, but my choice fell on the UK. I was pleasantly surprised by the system of education that they offer and its practical application. Last summer I spent with my friends in the UK, working and learning about the city. I met a lot of fantastic people and is ready for new acquaintances in a new town. Couchsurfing for me is not only the option of accommodation, but above all the opportunity to meet interesting people and get to know their mentality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I come to the city without work and with a small margin of money, which is not enough to rent a house immediately after arrival. I know nothing about this city from the perspective of its inhabitants and I will be glad if you give me any lifehacks on "survival" or economy. I really want to see what life looks like from the inside, make new acquaintances in parallel and, if you would like to, spend time in an interesting company.

Music, Movies, and Books

Honestly, I am a music lover, but my tastes in music are changeable, I like to learn new groups. From favorite - Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Panic at the Disco, Nirvana. From books I prefer Stephen King and Russian classics, for example, Dostoevsky or Bulgakov. I love the poetry of Esenin and Mayakovsky. Films are good, good horror films from 80-90s, they have their own atmosphere. Do not mind to see some of the new products, such as the Suicide Squad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was always afraid to fly the plane and travel alone, but at one fine moment everything changed and I overcame my fears. I am naturally a shy person and it was difficult for me to get out of my comfort zone, but there are people who helped me find myself. These are amazing people and I hope to meet even more such people in my new life.
