Hey, I'm Maria, but I don't really like my name, just the first letter, so please, call me M. I guess I have to follow my presentation explaining I'm 19, and that I'm living in Barcelona and I love jazz, but I'm not gonna say that. I think if you really want to figure out me its better that I say I use to send postcards with lyrics to people around the world who I have never known. That I want to travel to Canadà because I like its forest and lakes as I you can like chocolate. Maybe its better to know that I normally sleep in my hamak and where no shoes, that I love deep conversations, play the piano and draw people in the metro. Yeah, its better that you know I can spend hours listening to people talk about anything they like, that I watch a different documentary every day and I write thousands of different stories in notebooks but I have never end one of them. So, this is not everything, but I guess you can figuer out the way it continue. Ah, and yeah I writed everyting with my cat sitting on my shoulder what is the real success.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel not just seeing things, I wanna listen the people who are actually living there, share interests, learn, try new things and who knows, maybe make some friends and share Barcelona and the place I love with someone who wants to live it.

Music, Movies, and Books

The music of silence may be my favourite book, though I also love, The name of the wind, Brave new world, everithing Brent Weeks and Isaac Asimov have written, The Hidden Reality, etc. I haven't watched many films, but maybe Into the Wild and Howl's Moving Castle are the ones I never get tired of watching I also loved Coherence, Inception and I Origins. And I really have a problem with name of music groups, bcs I never remember them, but I like Julia and August Stone, Artic monkeys, Alt-J, Lilly Allen, Muse, Edith Piaf, Louis Amstrong, the do, Cigarettes after Sex, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yesterday we jump into the sea from a bridge, but maybe the most amazing thing I have done it's surf. Or go to Ireland alone when I was 15. Maybe face my fear to elevators. But probably is adopt (give almost all my money) a full greenhouse when I was ten, to save all the trees that were living inside.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish and Catalan, constellations, some physic theories and how to cook some typical spanish food. I can share fun stories, some music (I play a bit of piano and the clarinet), probably fuet (typical catalan food), draws and for sure some laughs and great conversations. I would love to learn more piano and improve my english but I'm such a curiouse person so I'm excited about learning anything new may I can't imagine now.
