I have just embarked on fully reinventing my life. I retired in Feb '16 from a 25 yr career in state government and now I'm exploring the great big world, one step at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have made some great connections while traveling by motorcycle with my dog pal, she is a great icebreaker and ambassador! I hope to use CS as another opportunity to meet new and interesting people.
I also have some space to offer to offer travelers.

Interests

Everything outdoors in nature. Hiking, skiing, motorcycling. I am an herbalist and enjoying growing the plants I make medicine from. I also make my own soap and some other body care products, and I'm hoping to turn that into a small money making venture. Currently researching the construction of a tiny house on wheels so I can be mobile. I have been in one place for a long time!

Music, Movies, and Books

Nothing too mainstream - making plans to get to the Pagosa Folk n' Bluegrass festival right now. I tend to read a lot for learning these days, health and wellness, looking to stay strong for lots of years of enjoying retirement! Movies tend toward documentaries, no TV but I will binge occasionally on some Netflix offerings.
