I just submitted my PhD thesis in volcano-seismology at University of Potsdam, Germany. After 7 years of long distance relationship, finally I live with my boyfriend in Buchloe, an hour away from Munich, Germany.

Before living in Germany, I did my master study in Taiwan from 2014-2016. That was when I met my now boyfriend and learned about couchsurfing from him. After finishing my study in Taiwan, I came back to my home country, Indonesia. I tried to host some couchsurfers, and it was a really nice experience. One of the CS I hosted invited me to her wedding in Vietnam, it was a wonderful experience to attend a Vietnamese wedding and learn about their culture.

I also spent 6 months at Jorhat, Assam, India, in 2019, to do a research visit. I used this platform to meet and stay with a few local CS. It was also unexpexted that I met a meteorologist in Assam via this platform and he invited me to visit his office, that was really cool!

I found this platform is great to meet interesting people from completely different background. And I made some very good friends unexpectedly via this platform. That's why I chose traveling using CS than by conventional way.

I love traveling because it opens my eyes to see other parts of the world which I can not see before.
