About Me

As a "fresh" high school graduate, I live in a shared apartment in downtown Reykjavik and I'll be happy to meet someone new, have someone to drink coffee with :) I'm very open-minded, helpful, tolerant and I can adapt very easily.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I finished my International Baccalaureate Diploma in May 2018 and, to have some rest and time for adventures, I'm taking a gap year. Before I pursue my dream of being a Swedish translator, I want to explore not only the spectrum of skills I can have, but also the whole world that awaits. That is why I flew all the way to Iceland to become the best barista I can be. I would also love to learn Icelandic from natives, as I believe it's the best and most fun way of language aquisition :)

Music, Movies, and Books

For music, I'm wayy too deep into it to select my favourites, but generes I enjoy the most lately include: electroswing, happy hardcore, glitch hop, eurobeat, indie pop, folk, pop (guilty pleasures :P) and maaany more.

When it comes to movies and TV series, I love me some animated shows like Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Bojack Horseman or Adventure Time. My all-time favourites are: The Secret of Kells, Now You See Me, Kimi no Na wa, Catch Me If You Can, Swiss Army Man, The Big Short, Juno and Ratatouille.

Unfortunately, my taste in books is not... unique, but I'd love to hear from someone about their recommendations and have a nice talk on literature :3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Reykjavik right after graduating. Family, boyfriend and my friends in Poland - my two hands and brain in Iceland. Only me and my own adventure :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I'm pretty good at English, but I guess little to none couchsurfers would be interested in tutoring while hosting a guest like me :P I can share my experience as a beginner musician, volunteer and casual windsurfing enthusiast. I'm working on my barista skills both at home and at work, so I can serve you the best coffee I can make whenever you want :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bake a cake for you, as I've been making some extra money off of it while in middle school :P I can be a companion at parties and festivals or play some board games in your free time :) I have my aeropress and grinder with me at all times, so making a good-ass coffee won't be a problem
